Eng. Sam Alyasin

Biography

Sam Alyasin was educated in the United States at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, with graduate and postgraduate studies in civil engineering, structural engineering, project management and design.

For more than twenty-five years, he served Altajir Group as Director of Business Development and Project Engineering, working directly with the Group’s leadership on projects and investments internationally. His responsibilities spanned industrial assets—container-glass manufacturing in Dubai, aluminium smelting in Iran and water bottling in Scotland—and hospitality and residential holdings in Paris, London and Mallorca, including client-side refurbishment of the Park Tower in Knightsbridge and the establishment of Fouquet’s in Paris.

As Development Director of Empire Island Tower LLC, he led the development proposition for Empire Tower in Abu Dhabi, an ultra-luxury serviced-residence tower designed by Aedas and recognised in the Chicago Athenaeum’s International Architecture Awards in 2010. His development responsibilities across Empire Group, Altajir Real Estate and, later, BAMX included Prudential Tower, the Fortunato residential community and the 77 Boulevard, 66 Boulevard and 311 Boulevard luxury residential developments in Dubai.

In December 2018, he founded NEXTSTEP in Dubai to offer owners the same direct, senior involvement in their own projects. Since then, NEXTSTEP has represented owners on hospitality, residential and industrial projects in the UAE and advised on hospitality and wellness destinations in the Maldives, Spain and Mauritius.
